Montana Freedom Caucus' 2025 Final Legislative Session Update - Thursday, May 1, 2025

Both chambers finished yesterday. Our efforts need to turn to encouraging the Governor to be the conservative he claims to be and to veto a lot of spending. (Please view all the videos posted at the end.)
The Governor must veto all the bills listed below if he is to call himself a conservative.
Please call Governor Gianforte’s office at 406-444-3111 every day asking for VETO
The Senate “Nasty-9” and House “Friends of the Nasty-9” all worked together to pass the following bad bills through the legislature. Here is their flag.
HORRIBLE - HB231: Revise property tax rates for certain property - Jones - this terrible bill passed the Senate thanks to the Nasty-9 and now passed the House thanks to “Friends of the Nasty-9” (67% tax increase on second homes/cabins, 40% tax increase on businesses, it’s a shift not a cut)
HORRIBLE - SB542: Generally revise property tax laws - Galt (Partner to the tragedy that is HB231)
HORRIBLE - HB 924: Generally revise state finance laws - Jones (Unaccountable slush fund)
HORRIBLE - HB 2: General Appropriations Act- Jones (18% growth in government)
HORRIBLE - SB 535: Revise laws related to experimental treatments - Bogner (Would turn Montana into the world’s largest unregulated human medical experimentation lab and be the largest expansion of the medical industrial complex since Obamacare)
HORRIBLE - HB863: Generally revise state finance laws - Jones (More slush fund work)
HORRIBLE - HB 599: Revise student data collection laws - Nikolakakos, M - (Would allow schools to conduct “mental health screenings” on students. This is an anti-parents rights bill)

Failed Representative Dave Bedey of Hamilton admits it’s a tax shift and then tells you what he really wants. Now he wants to run for the Senate.
Please remember that Cora Neumann of Gallatin County admitted it was all planned.
